"so the mysterious doctor knows his eliot"

Right, so, 'The Lazarus Experiment' was MADE OF WIN AND CAPSLOCKING. AND ELIOT QUOTATIONS, OMG. ELIOT QUOTATIONS. THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN DYLAN THOMAS QUOTING, YOU GUYS.

(This also totally proves my not-theory that the Doctor went to visit Eliot -- probably by accident -- and saved the world and inspired bits of 'Prufrock' and stuff.)

Speaking of 'and stuff' -- Ten trying to explain himself to Mrs. Jones -- priceless. 'And...stuff.' Oh, Ten. I rather like Martha's family, by the by -- especially because it's considerably larger than Rose's, so there are more people to play off of and interconnect and -- well, yes, that's the people-watcher in me rearing its geeky head.

I rather liked the monster, too; even though it didn't quite look real, it had this fantastic scary sort of Kafka-esque quality and reminded me very much of something that might go in a really surreal and creepy photomanipulation, or surrealist art from the early twentieth century.

AND, the Doctor plays the organ!! ♥ ♥

Did I mention that he quoted Eliot? COS HE DID AND VERILY IT WAS WONDROUS.

He also did all of this IN AN ABSURDLY LARGE BOW-TIE. AND TUXEDO. IN CONVERSES.

I still adore Martha, too. And the Doctor was right; her shoes were lovely. Someone ought to sell those. I'd buy them, along with a nice pair of beige-and-red Converses. :D

nngh. You have now given me a GINORMOUS fanficcy plotbunny thing in which Ten is wandering around bragging to Martha about how he totally inspired bits x, y, and z of Prufrock and she is rolling her eyes at him.

AND I HAVEN'T EVEN SEEN THE EPISODE YET BECAUSE I SLEPT IN INSTEAD OF GETTING UP TO DOWNLOADY.

DAMN YOU, BANUI. I have now finished the episode and am stricken with ginormous fic idea that involves five or six Eliot poems. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, YOU KNOW.

=D Well done, Banui! Write it, Noldo! Hee hee.

It's the next morning and I'm still all flaily. adlkj I loved it! And when they got onto to the Eliot I was thinking of you, actually!

*fangirls* Eeeee it was amazing.

ARGH AMY NOT YOU TOO. TRAITOR.

I am writing it. It is shippy and full of poetry. I HATE YOU ALL, you know.

GIVE IN TO THE DARK SIDE. WE HAVE NIBBLES.

Yeah, I actually got to see it only a few hours after you lot instead of the morning after, for once, and I think I was flailing in my sleep. I woke up this morning and was all "OMG DOCTOR WHO" and had to watch it over again. :p

(Right now I'm really tickled that last.fm is scrobbling my Doctor Who episodes.)

Oh, Ten. Ten. How is it possible for you to be so awesome? Being a Harry Potter fan and quoting Dylan Thomas was amazing enough, and now this? (And then adding organ playing as a bonus? In a cathedral?) Really, Doctor, are you trying to make me even more of a shameless fangirl?

I really, really need a pair of Converses. And a sonic screwdriver. In fact I might just get myself one or the other, maybe once my grades come in or something; I already ordered Return of the Guardian-King as a sort of reward for finishing the semester.

...And you know, now that Noldo is writing Eliot!fic, it really can't be long before one or both of us follows her. Especially since it's practically canon now.

D'you know what the world really needs right now? Photoshopped Ten-reading-Deathly Hallows, that's what. :D (Except then I would likely implode with squee.) And the little flash of his scuffed Converses on the organ pedals almost killed me.

AND YES YOU SHOULD GET CONVERSES. They are very comfortable, despite having no arch support (I don't think I have very pronounced arches, cos I don't really notice that sort of thing), and they go with nearly everything, including evening-wear, as Ten has so often displayed. :D

SHUSH, YOU.
