saying "fare thee well, my sweet little ones, for i'll never see you again"
So! Today I auditioned for Oliver! at the local community theatre. As I recall I've never actually auditioned for anything before; the church musicals I acted in as a wee lass were mandatory for pretty much everyone and you got in whether or not you were any good (if you were good, you got a noticeable part; if you weren't, you were in the background and hopefully everyone would sing louder than you), and the drama club I was in for a year when I was thirteen -- well, everyone in the club got to be in the play. So: auditioning. Fascinating stuff. I arrived at the theatre fifteen minutes early, and happily the girls from co-op I'm chummiest with were there, Sarah and Hannah M. (and Eli, and Becca), Emma L. (and her brother Jay), and Elizabeth W. (and her sister Hannah), and also Victoria, whose family just moved to the area and has been staying with the Ms until they find a house. I'd never gotten a chance to talk to her much, but she's lots of fun. Ergo, during the dull bits, my best local chums were all there to make snarky remarks to, so it was all good.
Well, cross your fingers for me, yeah?
