Argh I want to go on a photography walk with you. We tried, I guess. >_<
*adds some of the books you've mentioned, at least which I haven't already read, to my growing list of Books To Read* I wish I had some specifically autumn reading; I guess I don't have any books I read by tradition. I certainly have comfort reads, which largely seems to consist of Sunshine, any Kathy Tyers, the first two LotGK, Inkheart, any of Diana Wynne Jones' really fun books, and...can't think of anything else, actually. But I don't remember when I first read them, so they're not tied to a certain time of year--although I did bring One Mind's Eye with me and I read that while I was here, which was nice, having something familiar.
Not sure if it was visible from the picture, but aside from the part where you can find bits for the collage just about anywhere, particularly in advertisements, a few bits are--well, they had this weird little interactive exhibit in the museum here, right, and part of it was two old-fashioned typewriters you could use to write memos on monuments you'd like to see and...I don't even know. So I appropriated that and typed up a few poetry fragments I could actually remember offhand and tore those out, so now I have things like "and she dreams through the noise" and "there will be time, there will be time to prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet" in romantic typewritten scraps. It's actually one of the more successful parts of the collage.
Also, my icon made me think that October Project should be required autumn listening, at least for the awesome name and cover even if the music itself isn't as autmny as it could be.
And in completely unrelated news, I found something else for the Edward/Bella crackmix, aside from Linkin Park's "Numb" because we know they actually do listen to Linkin Park and also it's totally Growing Up Cullen. Anyway: Sparklehorse's "Sick of Goodbyes" (http://www.lyricsdepot.com/sparklehorse/sick-of-goodbyes.html). I mean. Sparklehorse? Vampire planet? Emo angst? It's all there, man.
