life as a bibliophile, mark ninety-two
May. 18th, 2007 04:48 pmSo, in a few hours I am leaving for an all-night Jane Austen film marathon (!!!) with some of my favourite people (it's a birthday party for one of my co-op girls). There will be nibbles. I will finish the meme when I get back tomorrow. However, I have a gigantic and monumentally important assignment for you lot.
My mother, out of the kindness of her heart (and also because I need books for school) has offered to pay off my library fines, which means I CAN GO AND GET BOOKS AGAIN (insert a lot of giddy flailing here). Therefore, I need book recommendations! You lot know pretty well what I like (which is mostly everything, although I am particularly fond of inventive fantasy, books about words, books about books, and books that are of the class of writing that is comparable to extremely good chocolate), so tell me -- and remind me -- what I ought to be reading. More Madeleine L'Engle and Ysabel and Neverwhere are fairly high on the list.
Anyway, your turn to do the talking. Er, typing.
