so, was gone much of yesterday at a friend's birthday party, which was a murder mystery (yes, [profile] lady_moriel , it was exactly like You Are The Murderer in Shifts!), and a sleepover, and I enjoyed myself fantastically, only now I seem to have run out of energy and socialisability. it's deeply perplexing, because simultaneously I feel very lonely and also as though I need to curl into myself, completely alone, and find all the proper angles and corners again. anyway, this is mostly to say That's Where I've Been, and also that I might be a bit absent for a day or two, as I shall likely be hobnobbing with Alessandra, who just got back, hiding from small girls (sister's birthday party tomorrow, yikes), and catching up. and, oh, sleeping. ;) (run-down later, because the past week has had several writeable tidbits.)

edit: browsing Facebook, and the most recent several status updates all seem unhappy, so I should like to issue a general f-list hug, because you lot are lovely. have some music bits banging about in my mediafire queue. cheer up, emo f-list. ♥

Yay, thanks for the shiny new music! And hee, aren't murder mystery parties pretty much the best things ever?

Absolutely. I was drunk and I had a moustache. I shall never, ever forget it. And everyone was so very good at their parts. I say there should be a murder at every party. ;D

Yay for hobnobbing with me! :)

Hannigan is the last name of Willow's actress. :D

I'm happy. My soul has been crushed by law school--repeatedly--but it's all good. ;)

After all the Buffy and Angel, I'm half inclined to take that statement literally. :p

*gasp* That first one is from "Amelie"! I love it! I've been wanting to get that soundtrack for a while.

Thanks for sharing the music. As always, I love to hear what you're listening to.

But one little problem. That "rowing song" by patty griffin link isn't working. =(

I have the whole soundtrack (which I acquired through, er, Slightly Dubious Means), and I could send it to you if you want--it's quite shiny. Still haven't watched the actual movie yet (I've got it downloaded and all, it's just sitting on my computer, waiting for me to get through with some shows), but I love the music.

Oh my goodness! That would be fabulous! I'd love it.

And you've GOT to watch "Amelie." It's amazing. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. I've made SO many people watch that movie that I finally quit renting it and just broke down and bought a copy for myself. ;)

Have you seen "Amelie" then?

♥ You are too lovely, you know that? Feeling down and thinking instead of us feeling down and then uploading fantastic music? *hugs* That feeling is deeply perplexing, isn't it? It happens to me, too: after I've been with people for too long I just feel empty, like I need some time for me.

it's deeply perplexing

I remember being exceedingly relieved when I read an article about shyness and introversion and suchlike, explaining that some people recharge by being around people (extroverts) and some people recharge by being on their own (introverts), and that being one of the latter type doesn't mean you're misanthropic or antisocial.

The strange thing is that I feel like "OH LORD PEOPLE GET THEM AWAY" and tremendously lonely at the same time -- might I have one feeling at a time, thanks, brain? :p Sometimes I feel like a nineteenth century taker of laudanum -- vacillating between tremendous need and too much exposure.

Hee, just noticed your time-and-date stamp -- you're posting from the future!

Yup, feelings are strange sometimes.

Isn't it great? Whenever I call overseas people (who are invariably some length of time behind us), I get the overwhelming urge to start the conversation with "I'm talking to you from the fuuuuuuture!". :-D

As one of those emo f-listers you mentioned, I would like to say how truly wonderful you are, and how thrilled I was when you posted one of my favourite Kate Rusby songs ever that I, for some reason, didn't have yet.

You are brilliant and amazing and beautiful and I love you madly. Thank you, Jo. :)

*glomps* So, yay, I did some good! ;D Isn't "Underneath the Stars" gorgeous? It's so warm and summery; I can hear crickets humming in the background, almost.

I love you!! ♥

You do infinitely more good than you know, Jolene.

And yes, it's lovely. At my beautiful coffee shop where I was working today, a fantastic, St. Patrick's Day-ish playlist was playing, on which several lovely Kate Rusby songs were featured, and it was so amazing. Anyway. I adore that song, and you are brilliant.

And I love you back, so much.

I blame general unhappiness on the winter-that-won't-end. But it will!
The song titles and such look lovely, I look forward to discovering them :) You are too kind..

So in the frenzy of everything my f-list has been limited to skimming, and apparently I skim much to fast because I completely missed this, but now I'm making off with it all. Hurray! You are so very super-fabulous, I can't even say.
