an entry without any nano angst in (!?)

Going to work going to work going to work!
I so rarely wake before full sunrise that the silvery blue world of early morning generally means something very exciting is about to happen -- Christmas, or a trip, or Easter breakfast on the beach -- so that has amped the excitement level rather. I have a very fetching first day on the job outfit (erm, sort of a modified, less radical version of my neo-Edwardian vampire slayer costume, actually, sans the stake) and flat shoes, and cookies, and oh dear, being a Grown-Up is terrifically odd, if it means quickly eating cereal at odd hours and having to steal other people's alarm clocks.
(Also I vote today. Hurrah! And eep.)
Well. Off I go, then.

Date: 2008-11-05 04:32 am (UTC)There is something a bit depressing about hurriedly eating cold cereal in the morning while everyone else is asleep. I've been doing it my entire education; such are the things that our society forces upon us. I do really love that Christmas morning feel when you need to wake up early for something special, though.

Date: 2008-11-07 04:37 pm (UTC)Yep, pretty much. Although since I usually had late shifts it normally meant gulping down a quick supper before rushing off, and then driving back after midnight when everything was dark and the roads were empty.
