I knew he couldn't've died. He was far too cool and drunk in a Jack Sparrow-like fashion to die.
I have the ep of Lost taped! Unfortunately I... missed the first fifteen minutes. Er, do you want to tell me what happens in the first fifteen minutes? ;)
Of course he couldn't've died. Various writer-people would've, otherwise. (Besides, it would be cruel: taunting us with things like 'I was nearly a doctor' and being in prison and the Royal Scots Regiment of Her Majesty's Armed Forces and then kill him and Never Give Us Answers.) *fangirls madly*
As for the first fifteen minutes of the last episode...well, I think cleolinda recaps it better than I ever could (http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/442016.html#cutid1). (Also, I want to brain Locke with a coconut, because he uses netspeak like a thirteen-year-old cheerleader. Eew.)
BUT, Ana-Lucia died. And Shannon and Boone died. And none of their storylines were resolved in the LEAST. Which is part of why I hate Lost even though I love it, because in normal TV shows you can usually tell, at least, when a major-character death is coming -- and you have time to prepare yourself, right? Not so with Lost. Not so at all.
And thank you for the link! I'm quite enjoying that commentary. :D
Also. This past week's Lost. There was NO way Kate could have gotten through the top of that cage so easily and not realised it before then. *grumbles*
