I came to an odd realisation in the middle of the supermarket several days ago, and had to control fits of hysterical snickering. Also, this proves that I have completely lost myself to a conspiracy-theory mentality. Eru save us all.

I just realised that my father has messy dark hair, bad eyesight, and greenish-brown eyes. He was also a teenager in the seventies. 

So, how possible is it that my American, anti-Harry father is James Potter?

I call mind-wipe. 

...Er. Yes. I've lost it. I've really, really, really lost it.

Especially since my father is much more like Remus than James. In fact, on occasion my Remus has been sort of based on him. Sort of.

So, who volunteers to take me to the asylum?

That would certainly explain why Sirius seems to be following you about... perhaps he's actually trying to establish contact with your father.

Perhaps the subconcious memories of the war forced your father/James Potter to be more serious and more Remus-like?
