Invest in Malden!!

Er...in other news, today was completely rotten, I was irrationally emotional over irrational things, a frantic cycling through the rain and crazy Saturday drivers proved fruitless, and things were generally a wash, except that I did see Master & Commander tonight, and Monty Python's Flying Circus. ♥ (And blimey, I forgot how fantastically pretty M&C is! Can I hang it on my wall?) Also, [livejournal.com profile] avonleigh made a Remus/Tonks mix!! (I'm vexed that she beat me to it, but in my defense, I haven't got a particular song that is pretty much integral to mine. Also, I'm vexed because there isn't any record of Millay's "Dirge Without Music" being...put to music. In which case the title would have to be changed. Ack.)

By the by, the whole music exchange thing of the last post is still very, very open. *is totally not hinting. at all.*

Argh, I really need to add Monty Python to my list of stuff to watch (except not really, because with the TV Kelsey watches, half of which--Lost, Heroes, and Jericho--I watch too, there's maybe one day a week the TV's not on obssessively all night, and I need to do homework, hang it all; and I managed to miss taping Doctor Who last night). I could use some funny. My day was slightly rotten too, mostly in that it was long, and as usual I did not sleep enough, and I got dragged along for a "short" shopping trip that was nothing of the sort and then stayed up late studying. The wrong book. Because I'm putting off studying for my exam on Tuesday by reading a book for a different class, because it was easier and I am just brilliant that way. And I am lonely, and I want someone to talk to me or at least notice that I exist, which is really really emo, but there you go.

And now I'm a terrible person for whining on your blog. Again. So I'm going to stop now.

Music. Yes. [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda has a couple lengthy Halloween mixes too (although I certainly don't trust hers; I'm going to download them all, obssessively read the lyrics, and then put only the good ones on my iPod...after Halloween, probably...yeah; and speaking of [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda, you should really be reading her Lost recaps if you're not already, although she hasn't done this episode yet), and I worked on one of my own today. I swear. I made myself a "Halloween" playlist (yes, I know, my playlists have such creative names; the only mildly interesting one is "D.C. Sleeps Alone Tonight," my D.C. trip playlist--which so far clocks in at, like, 40 songs? Needs vast weeding--because it's a line from one of the songs and not the actual title) and dumped on it your four songs and the few of [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's that I actually managed to download that didn't sound too weird, and then I spent basically the entire day at work listening to random stuff I've got on iTunes and putting quite a lot of it on the playlist. Will do more at work tomorrow and upload stuff, if teh intarwebs let me. Will probably be a long list, mostly described by "Well, okay, it's not really Halloween, but it sounds sort of creepy, and I really like it, and...well, I thought it fit. Shush you."

You've only got ONE TELEVISION?? :p Just kidding. (Although we actually have two, except we haven't used the second one yet and it's something Mum got for free and plans to use for something to do while on the treadmill, so it's languishing away in the basement.) Er. Well. You could always watch bits on YouTube, except some of them are funnily subtitled, and it's...just not as fun, unless you really know what you're looking for. Or you could try to get some from...someplace that rents DVDs. (And, um, if your PBS is anything like mine, it's probably on at some disgusting hour of the morning, so you could either tape it, or...do homework and watch Monty Python in the middle of the night. Or something. Er. Yes, I'm being really helpful, aren't I?)

I whine on your blog(s) all the time. 'S all good. ♥

OMG YES I AM READING HER LOST RECAPS. Eee. Yes. I found them in your memories and now I'm looking forward to them almost as much as the show itself.

Well, actually, we have two--er, three, I think, if you count the tiny one that lives on the floor in the disaster area family room, which we never use anymore. Our nice TV--our newer, flatscreen TV--lives in my dad's den, which means he's the only one who can really use it. The other, which is several years old, lives out here and is the only one we all use. Sometimes we tape things on my dad's TV, or rather Kelsey does, and I keep telling her not to, because something about that VCR doesn't work well with the other.

I watched...what...Bicycle Repairman and Ministry of Silly Walks on YouTube. Highly entertaining. I want a government grant to develop a silly walk!
